Series Description
Insight II integrated flame scanner uses both solid state infrared and ultraviolet sensors in a single device. The scanner's advanced sensors and algorithms accurately discriminate its target burner from adjacent flames in the same combustion chamber. The Type 95DSS3 scanner has two internal flame relays with adjustable On/Off thresholds, and two 4-20 mA analog outputs, eliminating the need for a remote flame amplifier. The Insight II scanner is the first Primary Safety Control to be UL-certified to Safety Integrity Level 3 (SIL3). If the target flame goes out, the scanner sends a signal to burner management system to close the fuel valve, preventing unburned fuel from entering the boiler, and eliminating the potential for explosion.
