High Torque Damper Actuator

 

The Belimo PKB/PMB High Torque Damper Actuator Series are designed to accommodate a mounting bracket and coupler or linkage for remote linkage connection. A visual position indicator shows the actuators position through-out its stroke. For outdoor applications, the installed actuator must be mounted with the actuator at or above horizontal. For indoor applications the actuator can be in any position including upside down.

Features
  • - Electronic fail-safe (PKBUP-MFT-T) with super capacitor technology enables replacement of legacy high
  • torque spring return pneumatic actuators. Selectable fail position (0-100%) and fail-safe delay time (1-10
  • sec) eliminates unnecessary actuator movements during short brownout conditions; avoiding changes in the HVAC and building automation system. Fail-safe running time is 30 seconds.
  • - Near Field Communication (NFC) allows fast programming, commissioning and troubleshooting; even when the actuator is not powered.
  • - Adjustable running time is configurable from 30 to 120 seconds to meet application needs.
  • - Configurable control signal input options include: 4-20 ma, 2-10 VDC, 0.5-10 VDC, variable (0.5-32 VDC w/ min 2 VDC start/stop span), floating, or on/off control to meet system requirements.
  • - Configurable position feedback signal options include 2-10 VDC or 0-10 VDC to meet controller requirements.
  • - Configurable angle of rotation allows throttling range adjustment for damper applications with less than 90 degree travel.
  • - BACnet and Modbus communication protocol provide superior application data access to execute advanced BMS control sequences. Protocols are BACnet MS/TP and Modbus RTU.
  • - Universal Power Supply simplifies product selection and filed wiring (24 to 240 VAC / 24 to 125 VDC)
  • - Sensor monitoring of two passive inputs is available for integration to BMS controller via BACnet or Modbus. Available sensor inputs are PT-1000, Ni-1000 and NTC 10K Type II.
  • - Smart heating logic uses on-board temperature and humidity sensors within the actuator to prevent condensation within the housing and improve actuator operating performance and longevity.
  • - Manual override to desired damper position using detachable hand crank, whether the actuator is off or powered on. Damper position is maintained until hand crank is removed.
