Q. What type of equipment does Kele use to check and calibrate pressure transmitters, and how accurate is your calibration equipment?

A. We use the same basic type of calibration equipment for all pressure products, but the range of the calibrator is selected to match the range of the pressure transmitter. For products which measure pressure in "WC, we use a calibrator which is accurate to ±0.009"WC. For pressures up to 100 psi, we use a calibrator with an accuracy of ±0.08% of reading. This equipment is routinely sent to the manufacturer for re-certification.
